Step 1: EQUIP
The first step in our process is to EQUIP you with a plan and the tools necessary to help you get out pain and start addressing the root cause of your symptoms.
During an Evaluation, we will discuss your concerns and goals, identify the root cause of your symptoms, and develop a customized recovery plan. The key here is identifying the underlying cause, so that we can start addressing why your symptoms are occurring. Too often, many providers just treat the symptoms and don't identify or address what is actually causing the symptoms. Sure you will feel better in the short-term, but this is not going to give you long-lasting results you really want.
Some typical underlying causes of pain/injury are range of motion or movement restrictions, stability or strength deficits, poor movement patterns, and other life factors such as sleep, nutrition, and stress. It is important to make sure that we take a holistic and 360 degree approach to your health and recovery, so we leave no stone unturned.
After your Evaluation, you will know exactly what is causing your symptoms and you will have a customized plan in place to help you get out of pain and meet your health/fitness goals. At this time, we will also start treatment and give you 2-3 things that you can start doing right away to help improve your symptoms.
Step 2: ENHANCE
The second step in our process is to help you ENHANCE your strength, mobility, and movement to fix the root cause of your problem, so you can meet your goals!
Following the Evaluation, we will setup your treatment plan, where you will come in for follow-up sessions to improve how you move and get you back to doing the things you love without pain. Most clients work with us for an average of 10 sessions over 2-3 months. These treatment sessions are customized to you, but typically consistent of manual therapy (hands on work), corrective exercise, and education. In addition to the treatment sessions, you will also be given a customized recovery program to either perform at home or in conjunction with your workouts.
As you progress through this plan, your program will continue to evolve based on your progress and your goals. If your goal is to back squat without pain, our program can't just be exercises with bands or light weights, we need to make sure that we build up your capacity and resiliency with squats. If you want to be able to run a marathon, we need to make sure the program addresses your endurance, recovery, and cross training. If you want to CrossFit at a high level, then our program needs to reflect mobility, strength, recovery, nutrition, sleep, etc. I highlight these different goals to show that we are here to work with you and that our plans will be customized to help you meet your goals!
Step 3: EVERLAST
The third step in our process is to help you continue to live your best, most active life through maximizing strength, improving resiliency, and preventing future pain/injury.
We believe that health and wellness is a life long journey and we want to help you improve your longevity, so that you can continue to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Your health and wellness journey with us shouldn't and doesn't just stop when you are pain free and feeling better. It is important that you continue to build strength, improve mobility, and become more resilient because once you have had pain or an injury, it is more prone to happening again. We want to make sure that pain or injury doesn't continue to be something that holds you back in the gym or in life.
